Individual Counselling

Individual Counselling

Individual Counselling

Individual counselling offers a compassionate, confidential space to explore what you’re carrying — emotionally, mentally, and in your day-to-day life. Whether you’re navigating stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, relationship patterns, life transitions, or simply feeling overwhelmed, this space is designed to support your wellbeing with warmth and clarity.

Together, we move at a pace that honours your readiness and supports your nervous system, using evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, DBR, IFS-informed therapy, DBT skills, and mindfulness-based strategies. The focus is always on helping you understand your experiences, strengthen resilience, and build healthier patterns of coping.

Individual counselling is a place for grounding, insight, healing, and meaningful change — with support that is rooted in compassion and guided by experience.

Couples Counselling

Individual Counselling

Couples counselling offers a calm, supportive space for partners to reconnect, communicate with more clarity, and understand each other with greater compassion. Whether you’re working through conflict, feeling distant, or hoping to strengthen your relationship, sessions are paced gently to help both partners feel heard and supported.

I bring specialized training in Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) — a leading, evidence-based approach that helps couples move out of negative cycles, express emotions and needs more openly, and create deeper emotional safety and closeness. EFT supports partners in understanding what’s happening beneath the surface and building new, healthier patterns of connection.

Couples counselling can help nurture renewed closeness, stronger communication, and a more secure, resilient bond.

Trauma Counselling

Walk and Talk Therapy

Trauma counselling at Dale Counselling Services integrates advanced, specialized training with a calm, supportive therapeutic approach. I am an extensively trained trauma therapist with expertise in several leading modalities, including EMDR, IFS-informed EMDR, somatic trauma therapy, Flash Technique, and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) Levels 1 and 2, specifically developed for shock trauma and early attachment wounds.

I also hold comprehensive training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), which provides the essential foundation of grounding, stabilization, and emotional regulation necessary for effective trauma processing.

Sessions are paced gently and tailored to each client’s readiness, ensuring both safety and clarity throughout the therapeutic process. Trauma counselling can support individuals experiencing the impacts of childhood trauma, shock trauma, attachment injuries, nervous-system dysregulation, grief, or long-standing emotional patterns.

This approach offers a pathway toward healing, integration, and a renewed sense of emotional stability and wellbeing.

Walk and Talk Therapy

Walk and Talk Therapy

Walk and Talk Therapy

Walk-and-Talk Therapy is a gentle, nature-based alternative to traditional in-office sessions. Offered from late spring to mid-fall, this service combines movement, fresh air, and therapeutic conversation to support emotional wellness in a calm, grounded outdoor setting.

This approach is well-suited for clients who find it easier to talk while walking, prefer a less formal therapy environment, or benefit from the regulating effects of nature and gentle movement. Walk-and-Talk Therapy integrates evidence-based counselling with the soothing elements of the natural environment, supporting mindfulness, stress reduction, emotional regulation, and a sense of ease in the body.

Sessions move at a comfortable pace and follow the same therapeutic principles as office-based counselling, offering support for anxiety, stress, mood concerns, life transitions, and general wellness. Many clients find that walking side-by-side allows them to reflect more openly and experience therapy in a way that feels spacious, grounded, and restorative.

Walk-and-Talk Therapy is available seasonally and is offered when weather, safety, and accessibility allow. All sessions are planned with client comfort, privacy, and wellbeing in mind.

Menopause Support

A New Offering at Dale Counselling Services

Menopause and perimenopause are powerful life transitions — physically, emotionally, and psychologically. Yet many women find themselves navigating mood changes, anxiety, sleep disruption, brain fog, irritability, and shifts in identity with little specialized support.

At Dale Counselling Services, I now offer dedicated menopause-informed mental health therapy designed specifically for this stage of life.

As a Certified Menopause Mental Health Provider, I provide evidence-based, compassionate counselling that recognizes the complex interaction between hormonal changes, life stressors, relationships, career demands, and emotional wellbeing.

This specialized support can help with:

-Anxiety and mood changes
-Low motivation or loss of confidence
-Irritability and emotional overwhelm
-Sleep disruption and fatigue
-Brain fog and concentration challenges
-Changes in identity, purpose, or self-esteem
-Relationship and intimacy concerns
-Work stress during midlife transition

This is not “just hormones.” This phase of life deserves understanding, validation, and skilled support.

Together, we work to stabilize mood, strengthen emotional regulation, build practical coping strategies, and help you move through this transition feeling informed, supported, and empowered.

If you are in perimenopause or menopause and feeling unlike yourself — you are not alone, and you do not have to navigate it alone.
