At times, life can feel heavy—and reaching out for support is a meaningful and courageous step. Caring for your mental health is an essential part of overall well-being, and having the right therapeutic support can make all the difference.
I approach therapy with the belief that you are the expert in your own life. Our work together is a collaborative process where I offer a compassionate presence, skilled guidance, and practical tools—all within a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported.
My clinical practice is grounded in evidence-informed approaches, delivered with warmth, respect, and deep care. I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals through a wide range of emotional challenges, life transitions, and healing journeys, always honouring the uniqueness of each person’s path.
My intention is to create a safe, trusting, and nurturing environment where you can reconnect with your strengths, deepen your self-understanding, and move toward meaningful, lasting change. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone—I’m here to support you, every step of the way.

Life can bring moments that feel heavy or uncertain. Our counselling services are here to offer support in those times, especially when you're feeling anxious, stressed, or overwhelmed.
In a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space, we’ll work together to gently explore your thoughts and emotions. With care and collaboration, we’ll help you gain insight, build emotional resilience, and find strategies that support your well-being.
You deserve to feel supported, heard, and understood. We’re here to walk alongside you, wherever you are on your journey.
When relationships are strong, they can be a profound source of love, connection, and support. But when challenges arise, even the closest partnerships can begin to feel distant and painful. You may find yourselves stuck in a cycle of conflict, feeling unheard, unsupported, or emotionally disconnected.
If you’re longing to feel close again—to be seen, understood, and reconnected—you’re not alone, and you’re in the right place.
At Dale Counselling Services, we specialize in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, a deeply respectful and evidence-based approach to healing and strengthening relationships. We understand how difficult these moments can be, and we offer a clear, compassionate path forward.
In a safe and supportive space, we’ll work together to identify the patterns that keep you apart, remove the barriers to connection, and help you rediscover the closeness and trust that brought you together. You’ll learn new ways to express your needs, navigate emotions, and repair disconnection with care and understanding.
Together, we’ll help you build a more secure, fulfilling relationship—one rooted in trust, emotional safety, and lasting connection.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a gentle, structured, and evidence-based therapy that supports healing from the emotional impact of trauma. It works by helping the brain process distressing memories while engaging in bilateral stimulation—often through guided eye movements. Over time, this helps reduce the intensity and emotional weight of painful experiences, allowing for greater clarity, calm, and emotional resilience.
EMDR has been extensively researched and is recognized as a highly effective treatment for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and related challenges.
At Dale Counselling Services, EMDR therapy is offered by a therapist with advanced training and deep knowledge in this specialized approach. In addition to standard EMDR protocols, we integrate somatic-based EMDR techniques, informed Internal Family Systems (IFS) approaches, and ego state interventions. These complementary methods allow us to gently engage both the mind and body, work with protective inner parts, and safely support healing at a deeper level.
Our trauma counselling services are grounded in warmth, safety, and respect. Whether you’re healing from a single traumatic event or the effects of long-term stress and adversity, we’re here to support your journey. Together, we’ll create a space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to move forward—toward greater emotional balance, strength, and self-connection.
If you receive a roadside suspension or a Criminal Code conviction for an offence involving alcohol or drugs while operating a Motor Vehicle, you may be required to complete an assessment with an approved addictions counsellor before you will be eligible to reinstate your driving privileges.
Dale Counselling Services is an approved ADT provider with Motor Vehicle Registration Government of NL.
ADT Alcohol and Drug Assessment is a 4 hour programming offered both individually and by group.
If there has been a traumatic event in the community, workplace, or with first responders critical incident stress debriefing is used to facilitate coping mechanisms after a critical incident.CISD provides a bridge from the traumatic event to hope, healing, and recovery by giving the survivor a voice, offering closure, and allowing the individual to live with a restored sense of safety and overall well-being.

It is back for 2025!
A NEW THERAPEUTIC EXPERIENCE!
Walk and Talk therapy will be available for booking from May 19th to September 28th. There will be 1-2 sessions available per week (weather pending – it is NL after all!). Walk and Talk therapy slots will be my last evening sessions, or a Sunday am.
WHAT IS WALK AND TALK THERAPY?
Walk and Talk Therapy combines traditional psychotherapy with the benefits of walking in nature. This is a unique holistic therapeutic experience outside in nature’s therapy room.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF WALK AND TALK THERAPY?
Movement is well-known for its positive effects on mental health. Engaging in a walk during therapy not only helps to alleviate stress but also releases endorphins, the “feel-good” hormones. The physical activity can be particularly beneficial for individuals dealing with anxiety or depression, providing a holistic approach to mental well-being as well as enjoying fresh air.
WHAT ABOUT CONFIDENTIALITY?
Privacy is paramount in therapy, and when you’re walking and talking outside, there is naturally less privacy than in a therapy room. Sometimes we may choose to briefly pause while someone passes by, which also offers an opportunity for reflection. There is also the risk we might run into someone that either of us knows. We’ll plan together, in advance, for how to manage those situations.
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
First, you will need to book a Walk and Talk session and I will go over the risk and benefits of this type of therapy and complete a form specifically for this service. We will come up with a plan in case we run into someone you know.
If we both agree to proceed with Walk and Talk Therapy, we will decide on an agreed upon location. Sessions are the same cost/length as a normal “in the clinic” session.
Dogs are welcome to join.

The length of time it takes to see meaningful change through counselling at Dale Counselling Services can vary from person to person. Every individual’s journey is unique, and the pace of progress depends on a variety of factors—including your goals, the nature of the challenges you’re facing, and the support you have in place.
Some clients begin to notice positive shifts after just a few sessions, while others may benefit from longer-term support to explore deeper patterns and create lasting change. Whatever your path looks like, we’ll work together at a pace that feels right for you—offering compassionate guidance and a safe, supportive space every step of the way.

I am certified and extensively trained in a range of evidence-based modalities, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (individual and group). I also integrate advanced approaches that are not always widely available in general practice, such as Somatic Therapy, Ego States Interventions, and Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed EMDR. These specialized methods allow for deeper, more holistic healing that supports both emotional regulation and nervous system balance.
At Dale Counselling Services, you can expect professional care rooted in experience, enriched by advanced therapeutic training, and delivered with warmth, respect, and a deep belief in your capacity to heal and grow.
